Christmas Outreach to Our Shutins

We are in need of volunteers to deliver Christmas gifts to our shut-ins. The packages will be marked & directions provided. Our shut-ins would love a visit from their fellow parishioners, & this would be a great family project in the true spirit of Christmas. The staff provides outreach to our shut-ins throughout the year, but the delivery of almost 50 gifts before Christmas requires the help of many parish elves. Choose the area & number of packages you can deliver. Packages will be available after Dec. 1. Call the parish office 352-2493 to sign up.

Would you be interested in a leading a Fund Raiser?

Aug. 15-17, 2003 a 150th Celebration of Bremer County will be held. Churches are invited to sell a meal as part of the Flavor of Bremer County. Sign up for a breakfast, noon or evening meal, or one of the breaks. This is in the organizational stages & they want to hear from the churches interested. Please contact the parish office for a copy of the letter, and/or attend the Tues., Nov. 26 meeting at 7pm, 1st floor meeting room, Court House (enter back north door). This would be a great fund-raiser for the Building Project or other church/charity program.

Social Concerns (Peace & Justice) Committee: We are in need of someone to chair this important committee in our parish program. We are also seeking people to be part of this committee which meets for one hour every fourth Tues. of the month. This committee seeks to involve the parish in the work of service & justice. There are many issues in our world such as poverty, war, unemplyment, hunger, abuse that we as a communtiy need to address. Please call the parish office 352-2493, if you are interested.
