Scripture Study

Mary made a New Years resolution to start reading the Bible, but by the time she had finished with the book of Genesis she was bored. Tom read an article about the Dead Sea Scrolls and he wondered how these scrolls related to the Bible he used in his scripture study group. Betty went to the bookstore to buy a Bible and left totally confused over the multitude of choices she encountered. Dan wanted to join a Bible study group, but he always heard that Catholics werent supposed to read the Bible. Jane could not answer her husband Bill, a Lutheran, when he asked her why her Bible had more books than his did. Liz was shocked when her daughter said she was taking a class at college called Biblical Criticism. Criticize the word of God, how could they do that? If any of this sounds familiar to you, please stay tuned,

Scripture 101 is coming in February!

The RCIA program is off to a good start this year. There are 7 adults interested in joining our church family. This affirms the fact that we are an exciting vibrant Christian community with something to share as we build the Kingdom of God. With that in mind we need your help in a couple of ways. First - we need sponsors who will walk this journey of faith with our candidates. If you are interested please call the parish center 352-2493. Secondly - we need your support of our candidates. As they take this spiritual journey please keep them in your prayers.
